The Sydney Hobart Yacht Race may be one of Australia’s greatest Boxing Day traditions, so the news that the 2020 race is going ahead is welcomed by an entire marine industry including Doyle Sails Sydney.

After a very successful 2019 edition of the race, where Doyle powered yachts dominated the fleet, Sydney Hobart veteran Shane Guanaria and five time Volvo Ocean Race sailor Chris Nicholson are particularly pleased to hear the race will start as planned.

Now plans are in place in the lead up to the event for 100 owners and crews to complete their job lists in time for their 628 nautical mile race south to Hobart. Chris and Shane are both working with a significant part of the fleet on sail preparations alongside the extensive Doyle Sails Sydney team.
